Call for Session Proposals

At this point, the committee welcomes proposals for pre-conference workshops, plenary sessions, symposia, and focus tracks. The submissions should be relevant to various stakeholders and disciplinary fields. Proposals on the conference themes of ‘Indigenous Perspectives’, ‘Artificial Intelligence’ and ‘Research Security’ are encouraged.

Please note that all session proposals need to be submitted by or supported by a member of the Planning Committee or the WCRI Governing Board

Guidelines and Presentation Types

Purpose
To broaden program planning, the Co-Chairs of the 9th World Conference on Research Integrity (WCRI) welcome proposals for pre-conference workshops submitted or supported by members of the WCRI Foundation Governing Board (GB) and the 9th WCRI Program Committee (PC). The proposed topic should be relevant to a broad range of stakeholders and disciplinary fields, and have a diverse faculty (gender, continent, ethnicity, career stage, disciplinary background). We also (but not exclusively) invite proposals linked to the conference themes (Indigenous perspectives, artificial intelligence, and research security). Proposed moderators and contributors should be dynamic and engaging. Pre-conference workshops should be highly interactive and include skills training and introductions to participants new to the WCRIs.

Structure
Pre-conference workshops will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2026. Each proposed activity should be for 3 or 6 hours.

Application
All proposals have to be submitted by Monday, April 14, 2025, 11:59 pm Pacific Time. Input and inspiration for the content of the proposal from other individuals and organizations are welcome, provided that a member of the GB or PC supports the proposal.

Selection
The proposals will be peer-reviewed by members of the GB and PC and discussed during the WCRI Planning Meeting in May 2025. If the proposal is accepted, all session presenters are expected to register for the event (in-person attendance). Please note that only the workshop attendance fee will be waived, all other costs are to be paid by the presenter.
