Oral Presentation Awards
Abstracts by Early Career Researchers and Professionals accepted for oral presentation will be evaluated for eligibility for the Oral Presentation Awards. For each of the oral presentation abstracts with the highest review scores, judges will observe and score the oral presentations during the Oral Sessions. Awards will be given to the oral presentations with the highest combined mean scores.
Three Oral Presentation Awards will be granted for early-career professionals presenting in person. Awards will be based on the following criteria:
- Academic content/significance – Clarity of research question and hypothesis (for hypothesis-driven research); Suitability of methodological design; Interpretation of results and conclusions.
- Quality of presentation – Verbal communication skills; Knowledge of the subject; Visual effectiveness of the presentation; Response to questions.
The announcement of award winners will be made during the conference’s closing ceremony.

Excellence in Doctoral Research Award
On the recommendation of the Doctoral Forum panel moderators, two Excellence in Doctoral Research Awards will be granted to the two best doctoral projects and presenters. Applications will be limited to doctoral students officially enrolled in a graduate program.
The evaluation criteria for this award are the quality and relevance of the research project, the presentation of the project by the PhD student, and the contribution made to the Doctoral Forum.
The WCRI Awards Committee will present only one award per individual, across all categories.
