General Information
The World Conferences on Research Integrity are uniquely international, with each event hosted on a different continent, providing a powerful platform to raise awareness and foster education on responsible research practices in the host country. WCRI is deeply committed to diversity across ethnicity, gender, geography, discipline, and career stages, with this commitment reflected throughout the program, keynote speakers, committee members, and participants. Special emphasis is placed on supporting early-career professionals through doctoral forums, workshops, and meet-the-expert sessions.
Each WCRI explores a central theme while addressing a comprehensive range of topics related to research integrity and responsible research practices. A core focus is the analysis of factors driving researcher behavior, such as individual skills and virtues, the research environment, and the broader research system’s incentives. The 9th WCRI in Vancouver will feature discussions on Indigenous perspectives in research integrity and examine the intersections between artificial intelligence and research integrity.
